The Real Estate One Family of Companies was selected as a Top Workplace for 2011 by the Detroit Free Press. I put together a quick tutorial to show you how to add the Top Workplaces logo to your email signature. I’ve included a text and video tutorial for Microsoft Outlook and a text version for Gmail. Hotmail and Yahoo Mail do not allow a graphic to be added to their signature line.
Microsoft Outlook
Save the attached logo to your computer.
In Outlook Choose Options from the Tools Menu.
Choose the Mail Format tab
Choose Signatures
Select the signature that you would like to modify if you have more than one on file.
Choose Edit (If you do not already have an existing signature select New)
Choose Advanced Edit (a message may pop up that says that an editor will launch that is not part of Outlook, choose Yes)
Insert your cursor where you would like the logo to appear in your signature
From the Insert menu, choose Picture and then From File
Browse for the logo, select it and choose Insert
Once the logo has been inserted you may need to resize it. Select it my clicking on it and adjust the size by pulling in on any of the corner handles
Close the additional window and a message will display asking if you would like to save.
Choose Yes
Choose OK in the Create Signature window and then OK again in the Options window
To test your new signature, open a new blank email and make sure that your signature appears.
Gmail
From the Settings or Options menu (gear shaped icon top right corner of window) choose
Settings or Mail Settings depending on the version of Gmail you’re using.
Scroll down to the Signature section.
Insert your curser on the line below your signature.
Select the Insert Image modifier (Gmail only allows images to be added as a link).
Copy the link below and paste it into the Image URL field.
The image should appear in the lower part of the window.
Choose OK.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings window and choose Save Changes.
Choose Compose mail to view your new signature.
