New 1st To Know Contacts

I believe that there’s some confusion over how you’re notified when a new contact registers with 1st To Know on your WebOne websites.  I’ve received this question quite a few times recently so I thought I’d attempt to clear this up.
You will receive an email when a new contact  registers for 1st to know on your personal WebOne site. The subject of the email will be New 1st To Know Participant. Here’s a sample of the email. When you receive this email, it means that someone new has registered to 1st To Know on your site and that they have now been added to the My Contacts section of the 1st Place Intranet accessible through RealEstateOne.net.  Also whenever someone fills out a contact form on your WebOne website, the form is sent directly to you via email and their contact information is added to your My Contacts section. Those are the two ways that contacts are added to your My Contacts section. The 3rd way would be to manually add them yourself.

Marketing Open Houses Socially

This tip came in from Maureen Peterson, the Real Estate One Agent Service Center Marketing Coordinator. One of Maureen’s many tasks is to keep our company social networks flowing with great content. She’s been posting open houses by county to all of our major social portals (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace).  She wanted me to remind all of you to make sure that your open houses are all posted to RealEstateOne.com prior to her pulling the lists which is Friday morning and over into Saturday.
If your open house is posted on the MLS, it usually takes 24 to 48 hours for it to update to the RealEstateOne.com site, so make sure that you have them posted in time. You’re also able to manually add them to the Real Estate One Listing Manager through RealEstateOne.net if you don’t think that they’ll make it over in time.
Maureen posts the lists by county to all of our company social sites and encourages all of you to share these posts with your own networks. She’s been receiving a tremendous amount of hits and even some Facebook comments.
To share these posts, all you have to do is go to any of our company’s social networks on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning and copy the appropriate county open house link or choose Share if there’s a share option available. Maureen also encourages all of our sales associates to join our company pages and to participate by commenting and sharing posts. Thank you Maureen, for this awesome tip and for all that you do. : – )

iPad Video

I thought that I’d include this video for any of you out there that are still questioning the impact of the new wave of tablet computers. It shows just how much the iPad has changed the way we do things already and it allows you to see how it’s a device that’s probably not going to go away any time soon. I’ve been a huge Apple fan for the last 20 years and this video makes me smile.
