The Not So Tech Savvy Agent

by Scott Gaffan on August 5, 2011

The most common problem I see today with people struggling with new technology is the lack of a solid foundation of basic computer skills. Once a solid foundation of the basic skills is in place, you’ll be able to work more efficiently and be more productive and you may find that even the new products and software become a great deal easier to understand.

I’m offering a new series of classes designed specifically to give the “not so tech savvy agent” the foundation of basic computer skills that they need. The class series is called Technology Boot Camp – Basic Training.  The classes are live and will be held here in the Real Estate One Academy classrooms at Central Office in Southfield. It is highly suggested, but not required, that you bring your own laptop as computers will not be provided for you.

The class pace will be slow and the forum, open and relaxed. Focus will be placed on practical application and making sure that every student attending leaves with the proper foundation of basic computer skills.

This is a 4 part series running on Tuesday afternoons from 1-2:30 PM for 4 weeks starting on the 16th of August and ending on the 6th of September.

Week One
Windows 101 – a solid understanding of computer hardware and the MS Windows operating system is the first and probably the most important level of a solid foundation.

Week Two
Microsoft Office Basics – an overview and basic training covering; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher

Week Three
Internet & Email Basics – surf the internet like a pro and learn to communicate effectively through email

Week Four
Mobile Devices, Digital Photography & Video and an introduction to the Mac OS

Spend 4 Tuesday afternoons and get the proper foundation of basic computer skills that you’ve been missing all along. If you’re a “not so tech savvy agent”, the only way you’re going to change is if you put the time in and go back to the basics.  : – )

Click here to register. You will be registering for the entire 4 week series so you only need to register once for all four classes. The actual dates of all 4 sessions are:

Week 1 – Tuesday August 16th
Week 2 – Tuesday August 23rd
Week 3 – Tuesday August 30th
Week 4 – Tuesday September 6th
