Texting From Your Email Account

by admin on January 19, 2011

To send a text message from your email application, simply compose a short email message using less than 160 characters in Outlook  (or any other email client)  and enter the 10 digit cell number (no spaces or dashes) followed by the correct carrier’s text messaging email address into the To field.
(e.g.  2485555555@txt.att.net)
Remember to remove your email signature from the message before sending.

I have included a list of the most common provider addresses and a link to an extensive list of all provider addresses below.

AT&T
10digitphonenumber@txt.att.net

Verizon
10digitphonenumber@vtext.com

Sprint
10digitphonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com

T-Mobile
10digitphonenumber@tmomail.net

If you are looking for a provider that’s not on this list, click here.

Roost has published their latest Webinar Schedule also and I have added the dates and registration links to the IT Department Jan/Feb schedule.
