Identifying Online Lead Emails

by Scott Gaffan on July 8, 2008

Online visitors to the Real Estate One Family of Companies web sites and Realtor.com can send us inquiries on our listings and requests to schedule appointments to see our properties. It is important that our agents clearly identify these requests and respond to them quickly and professionally.  I have created a quick little visual guide to assist you in identifying these requests and understanding where they came from.

The easiest way to identify these leads is by the email subject line. The visual guide shows the links that are available to our visitors and the resulting emails that are generated by these links. Inquiries from an agent’s own listings on any of the Real Estate One Family of Companies sites are sent directly to the agent without any referral fees. Inquiries from Realtor.com for all Showcase members are sent directly to the agent without a referral fee.

It is important that we all do our best to identify and respond to these inquiries quickly and professionally because it is a direct reflection on the way we do business as individuals, as an office and as a company. When an online inquiry goes completely unanswered, it’s exactly like our office phones ringing and not being answered.
